100 years of Disney Cereal.

Disney is celebrating their 100 years and how are they doing it? By making a cereal of course. This cereal is made by Post, mostly known by their Fruity pebbles. (The classic Flintstones cereal).

In the front of the box you can see the face of Mickey mouse, they used one of his many classic looks and they added the Mickey mouse clubhouse logo.
The cereal is cake flavored, so they made it kinda sweet, but not as sweet as other cereals made for children. The good thing is that only the "confetti" in the cereal has sugar, most of it is just plane corn flavored puffs.

At the back of the box you get a little explanation of the 100 years of Disney and they encourage people to take photos and share them in social media, that way you will feel like you are part of the celebration.

The cereal isn't that bad, but what I really loved is the design of the box. It has this retro and classic feeling to it that most of the cereals nowadays don't have. If you are a fan of Disney or animation as a whole, then you should definitely try it and be amazed at the design that they made.

Comics in your Cereal

This time General Mills and DC comics unite to bring you something special. Do you ever wanted to have a free comic in your cereal box? Well now is the time to enjoy a good breakfast while you read a comic book.

First of all they did an excellent job in making all the cereal mascots wear one of the dc super heroes costumes. In this box you can see Buzz Bee the mascot of honey nut cheerios as batman. By the way they also did the other general mills mascots, Trix and Coco Puffs for example, Trix was Superman and Coco Puffs was The Flash.

In the back you get a cool image of Batman. If you get all of the boxes you can have a really cool image of the justice league, but you have to collect all 5 boxes to have it. Another cool thing that they added in the back of the box is a little trivia. The trivia is about things that happen or are happening in the DC universe, so it's really fun to do, even if you are not sure of the answer you can check them at the bottom.

Finally the comic itself. Ok, the box is nice and all, but you are here for the comic, just like every kid that buys a cereal just to get that special toy. You can get one of the 4 different comics, so yes, you can get a double if you buy more cereal boxes. This time I got comic number 2 called dark reflection.

The story in this comic is a one shot. So you can expect to begin and end here. That is really cool, so you don't have to be on a hunt for the other ones in order to finish the story. As I have mention before this story is called dark reflection and here you will see the justice league fighting against his evil counterparts from another part of the multiversity.

Finally here is a comparison between the cereal comic and a normal comic. As you can see there is a notable difference in size between them. I don't know why they didn't make it a normal size, because you can fit a normal comic inside the cereal box.

DC Comics at Wal-Mart.

It's been a long time since I have been posting here, but here I am again with a new things to share.

This time I'm going to talk about comic books, but not any comic books, I'm going to talk about comics that you can get at your local Wal-Mart store at a really good price. First of all there are regular comics that are in packs of three, those are single issues and there is also a special paperback.

The special paperback is a showcase magazine, for those who may not know a showcase is where you will find important stories about a single character or a group of characters. You can buy this at Wal-Mart for only 10 dlls. It contains 5 different stories, those stories are Batman Rebirth #1 , Wonder Woman #1 from the New 52, Batman and Robin #30 from the New 52, Batman #13 from the New 52 and Justice League Rebirth #1.

This is an image of the inside of the showcase magazine. In this picture you can see part of the story of Batman #13 that is part of the death of the family saga which was a big hit. This issue had a lot of print because it was on high demand. In this case what DC comics or any other publisher does is make different covers to differentiate the first print with any other number of print.

Now let me talk about the single issue packs. These are only five dlls for three comics, you can see the first comic that you are going to get, no problem, but the other two are going to be random. As you can see I choose a Batman and a Flash comic. At the back there is an add about the other issues that you can get.

For the first pack I got Batman Rebirth, Green Lantern #37 and Futures End: Earth 2. The Batman Rebirth is a different story from the one that you will get in the showcase magazine, so that is really cool. The Green Lantern one is part of the God Head story saga which tells the story about how High Father and the New Gods want to collect all the color rings to make a "better world" and destroy Darkseid once and for all.  And finally the Futures End one is a one shot story that happens in a distant future where Brother Eye takes control of the earth. You can find different superheroes or titles that will talk about that hero or group of heroes in specific.

Finally the other pack that I got is the Flash one. That had Green Lantern #35 and Futures End: Batwing. The Flash comic talks about how the rogues are missing from central city and Flash wants to know their whereabouts. The Green Lantern story talks about the "God Head" storyline which for some lucky reason I got two comics from the same character and storyline. The Futures End: Batwing talks about how Batwing is struggling in having a normal life with all the chaos going on in the city and making a plan to stop a big squad of bad guys.

So, that's all for today hope you enjoy reading this in watching the photos. I will try to update more often and bring some more random stuff. Thank you for spending your time reading and have a great day.

Street Fighter Toys From Kid Robot

Kidrobot is a company that you may all know, they have been doing great art toys for quite a few years and their toys are really fun to collect and are even high priced for their good quality.  This time you are looking here at their Street Fighter toy line.

All the boxes are blind bags, so that means that you get a random toy in each box.  As you can see in the picture above the toys are really small, but they have a really good quality, this Blanka toy has a great paint job, you can even see the hair on his chest and in his hands and legs.

You can only move the head and arms, but still they are really cool toys to collect. Ken has a real confident look on his face and is ready to battle. Check at the awesome detail on his uniform and his hair, it is just like a mini version of his videogame counterpart. The people from kidrobot really tried to make this toys or has they call them “collectible art” for the fans.

At the back of the box you can see all the characters that you can get, they are even some alternative colors or costumes that you can collect. All of the characters are from Street Fighter 2, so you will not see any other character that appeared in any of the other versions, not even from SF2 the new challengers, so you will not get a mini Cammy or T. Hawk. As you may see at the end there is a shadow figure, that figure is M. Bison and is the most difficult to get.

These figures look really cool, but still if you want to get your favorite street fighter character you may have to buy a bunch of boxes, (or maybe not if you have really good luck and you get your favorite character in the first blind box that you buy). These toys look great and they are even cool to have near your computer or in your desk. These are definitely a must buy for any street fighter fan, if you see them at a store near you don’t hesitate to buy one.

The monsters Cereals.

Is that time of the year again. Time to get some of the monsters cereals. This time the monsters are back in a retro way, you can see that the boxes are similar to the old ones, that’s right this time they wanted to get a retro feeling   in their art box. For all the old fans of this cereal these boxes are really great to look at or even to collect them.  (Sure, if you don’t mind having a lot of boxes laying around in your living room).

Fruity Yummy Mummy and Frute Brute are back!  I remember having yummy mummy for breakfast when I was a little kid, but I don´t remember the frute brute, a friend of mine told me that was because the frute brute was a really old cereal that got discontinued from the 70´s, and me being a kid in the 80´s didn’t had the opportunity to taste it. (Until now that is).

And as always you can get Count Chocula, Franken Berry and Boo Berry, those classic monsters cereal that you usually remember, those that are always there (Well, maybe not always there, but they are the most icon ones). These cereals are really good, if you have the opportunity to get any of them go and buy them, you can usually see them at Target or even at Walmart.  Remember that these cereals are only available in Halloween, so it is a must buy if you used to buy them as a kid.

Oh, yeah… I also got these cereals for Halloween. These cereals are made from the company Golden Foods. I know they are not as cool looking as the monsters cereals that we all love, but still these cereals are cheap and really good if you want to try something new and want to have that Halloween spooky feeling to it.

Some more food!

It’s that time again; time to get some cool food. Look at this, the box art is really something else and also what’s inside the box.

As you can see this was from this last Halloween, but you can still get some of these. Captain Crunch is always got to get if you are in to his Halloween cereal that turns the milk green. Also you must get these fruit roll ups made from those great monster’s cereals.

Captain Halloween crunch is a great cereal. This time the art work from the box is different. The other time Captain Crunch was dressed up as a wolf man, but now he is just carved in a pumpkin. At the back of the box you can see the same captain crunch pumpkin, but they show you how to do it if you want to do the same art for your pumpkin.
The monster’s cereals are always great to get, but they are really hard to find, most of the time you can find them in Walmart or Target. I recommend those two stores if you want to get this kind of products.  So… this time I couldn’t get the cereals, but I got these great fruit roll-ups that have the same flavor as the cereal. (Sorry, but they didn’t make Count Chocula, that’s kind of a letdown).

And also I got this great marshmallow reaper, but more than looking like a reaper he looks just like Skeletor from the old He-man cartoon.

Food that is fun for kids and grown ups!

I haven’t been able to update this, but I am back and I have more time to spend here.

So, what am I going to talk about now?  I know how about I show you some great food and packages that I have  bought this last Halloween.  Yes I know it is a little late to talk about Halloween. It’s like celebrating Christmas in July.

The good thing about any holyday is the things that are usually put in the market in these special occasions.  Now Halloween is a great holyday if you want to check out really cool things like food that make anything change color or even food that are inspired by a horror movie or monster.

Let’s start with the Captain Crunch cereal. As you can see Captain Crunch has always been doing this special edition cereal thing for quite a while. This time the made a cereal that turns your milk green, it’s really fun to check those creepy creatures like bats and ghost changing color with the milk.  In the box you can see Captain Crunch as a werewolf and some elements from the holyday to adorn the box. (Really cool if you are a kid or just a fan of this cereal)

Now if you were a kid in the 80’s and you love nostalgic stuff this cereal is just for you. Remember the old monsters cereals? Well they are back almost every Halloween and this item is a must buy.  These cereals are really hard to find. I got lucky and brought the count chocula cereal and the boo berry cereal.  They have the same taste as they use to have, so if you love their taste you must get this.

Another strange thing that I bought was this green lantern’s “Gloo Ball”. So what is this Gloo Ball thing? They don’t sound that good if you put another name like green lantern’s balls or something, but is safe to say that these are delicious. They don’t sell them anymore, because these were in stores for a limited time only.  These are coconut marshmallow chocolate cakes and are really cool and tasty. (They don’t glow in the dark or give you superpowers, but they are still worth buying if you are a comic book fan).

This is the end of this update to my blog, stay tune for more crazy stuff that I bought and you can get, or check my new drawings here.
